WitchOfAvalon🔞@witchofavalon.bsky.social · 9mo agoApparently P*ypal now asks for customer opinions on accounts sending invoices. If you are paying an invoice to a nsfw artist, do NOT mention NSFW in any way, keep it blank even. you risk both your account and the artists.
I’ll say this till I die: consent is for the real people reading the book. They are consenting to the story and themes being told. That’s why content warnings exist. There is no ethical obligation to put explicit consent in your fiction, only an obligation to warn the readers it’s not there.
I feel VERY STRONGLY about all this but I think more people should also feel as strongly as I do that scrubbing fiction into something "wholesome" and "ethical" is fascist, pro-censorship, and pro-capitalist.
