I once used Star Wars as an excuse to punish my keyboard, sometimes for others, like http://FANgirlblog.com. I also whistle indoors. #SWREPMATTERS (He/Him)
I remember just being endlessly fascinated by the character designs. Though, I remember thinking X-Man felt like an orphan to the other storylines. It's been so long since I read them, I can't tell you now why I came to that conclusion.
#EventsDearBoy 4. AGE OF APOCALYPSE (1995, Marvel) Stuck in the diminishing returns of imitating Chris Claremont's labyrinthine subplotting without his flair, the 90s X-Office does the one thing he never tried: a story with a beginning, a middle and an end.
At first blush, it will feel like a slightly cheesy effects based sci-fi show from the 90s. But then the next thing you know is how sadly predictive it was and written so well that you complain at the end that's it over; and the follow up films are all hard to stream.

TBH, I got burned by auto-save not working properly 20 years ago, and I just instinctually slam ctrl+S after I type so many words in a word doc. This caused a problem when I had a bug, that until patched, it cause the document to freeze for a couple minutes, in the midst of an interview.
The most terrifying enshittification I've discovered has been learning that Microsoft Word documents no longer auto-save if you are not saving them to one of their own proprietary cloud services. I'm slapping control-S like it's 1999.
Tomorrow we get to see how dumb the electorate are in my state.
They’re really going to wait and see how Coyote vs Acme dies before green lighting Wiley, and it’s just going to blow up in their faces when Nolan grabs him first.
Amy Pascal teases that the next James Bond will likely be cast by the end of the year. “End of the year is a good bet.” (Source: Deadline)
I don't always read books about Hollywood and media industries, but when I do, I read MCU: The Reign of Marvel Studios, because it's just fantastic.
Oh, a Marvel is at the top of the Box Office again? Learn how we got here in MCU: The Reign of Marvel Studios, which, in paperback, is cheaper than some of the movie tickets for Spider-Man! TheMCUBook.com
August is here and I got a few days to make up the deficit so I can make rent... could really use the help. I'm kinda desperate at this point.

I saw a raccoon today. No. It was not THAT raccoon. Usually the raccoons I see are roadkill. So it was a delight to see this one slip away from a dumpster. Then we all saw a huge millipede and forgot about the masked bandit.

Ted Lasso, but it’s a professional cycling team. Lasso: Why is everyone bunching up on the road like that coach? Beard: It’s called a peloton, by riding together they decrease wind resistance to allow for faster speeds and more energy in the long run. Lasso: Line dancing on two wheels, beautiful!
So it seems Harvard is racing to be the next prestigious college to self own itself the most after Columbia. Which is just bonkers. You HAVE privilege and act like it’s better to squeeze a rock for a few drops of water instead of paying for a well.
Disgraceful actions by @harvard.edu - destroying their writing program at a time when it's needed more than ever as "A.i." undermines everything. Deepest shame on this institution and all the best to @janerosenzweig.bsky.social. www.thecrimson.com/article/2026...

Fun personal fact: I have never eaten liver in my life because both my mom and dad were forced to eat by their parents since it was cheap, and my parents HATED IT. They decided they would never require us to eat it, and so, we never did.
RFK Jr. suggests Americans can more easily afford groceries if they start eating liver instead of beef: "Most of the cheap cuts of meat are very inexpensive. ... You can buy liver"
A'ight, so it's 100 years back, and grandparents' main job, not what grandparent was doing 100 years ago. The options are: 1) Coal Miner 2) Lineman for the Power Company 3) Encyclopedia Salesperson 4) Store Clerk (by marriage) 5) Highway Dept Clerk (by blood)
Enough “what would you do on the commune questions” If you got sent back 100 years and were given your grandparent’s job, what are you doing?

There are a surprisingly high number of Mystery Machines out there across the country. I see one approximately every few years, which is every few years more than I expect to see one.
