I went to Kusama's exhibit without knowing what a hateful ghoul she was, & I can't tell you how sad & angry it made me to find out about it afterwards. This is why I say that Anti-Blackness is one of the most widely accepted forms of hate in global society. You can hate us & never fully fail.
This review I published when I was EIC by Dexter Thomas, was the article that made it clear that Kusama anti-Blackness permeated her work, and even more disturbing, the art market was trying to cover it up in all sorts of ways.
