My local library has a continuous used book sale. Just got a big bag of mystery/thriller for my grandma's 82nd bday. Never flowers or candles for her--always tales of blood and murder. I love her reading tastes.

I attended a writers conference last week and participated in a flash fiction challenge to write and submit a piece in the same evening. On the conference blog, check out my piece: "The Life of a STEM Tutor in the 24th Century" as well as more great SFF stories from other participants! #writersky

Just over a week left to get your application in! To address a point we saw, we know this is a small grant. We're a very small business! If you're not sure how $100 would help, what about buying a few books? Notepads? Registering a web domain? Getting a coffee and sitting somewhere quiet to think?

It is publication day for Women of the Weird West!! 🥳 What a journey! This anthology published by Brigids Gate Press and edited by me is near and dear to my heart. I am grateful to the authors for their fascinating tales spanning far-flung galaxies to classic Old West settings.

I miss my StokerCon friends already! We need to have StokerCon more than once a year, and we need at least an entire day with no events or panels where we all just sit in a big circle and hang out with snacks.
