the thing progressive wypipo tend not to understand with irritating regularity is that while "systems" are to blame for many of our problems those "systems" are 100% perpetuated by PEOPLE, including the idiots who say an issue is "systemic" without pinpointing exactly WHO is operating the machinery.

if it isn't clear, I'm with the 18+ artists. don't think because the majority of my art is market friendly that it means I am. fuck censorship, fuck fascism, fuck puritanism. people should have the choice to decide what they want to see, not have the choice made for them.

bsky is not the place that it needs to be but it is the place that it is and sometimes that's all you can do.

been writing this absurdly bizarre journal entry as if it were a small book with chapter tags and interludes. It's cathartic but I'm not sure it will ever see the light of day. It's a problem because it's kind of wild and beautiful and satisfying in a way I like my art to be. To the future, then.

Your art improves if you're pure of heart

I always see nonpartisan, righteous anger at public art. Everyone loves to hate a concrete blob bought with taxpayer money, what's it even meant to be etc. My hot take: art funding is good and there's no benign policy for keeping out 'bad' art. You really just gotta fund it until a good one happens

Remembering very clearly when my old GM had such a chokehold on our wod game that she couldn't handle the mage system. Literally asking us not to use our powers or do anything unrealistic for a whole FOUR sessions lmao. It's nice to see players in d20 swallowing missiles game 1.
