btw you can use this deeply cursed CSS selector to select a wrapper element that only contains elements with a certain class. i'm using this on stripe.com to hide a nav element when all of its children are .inactive :)

A CSS snippet which shows a combination of :not(), :has(), a direct descendant combinator, and :not() again, to add a red border to an element if none of its children have the class .active.An example of the previous snippet in play, this time showing two arrow buttons for interacting with a carousel. In the first example, one of the arrows is active, so the element is totally visible. In the second example, both arrows are inactive, so the element is hidden.

Imagine haphazardly changing the default behaviour on a piece of software with tens of millions of monthly users, catching unintended side effects, and then "underestimating its impact". Wtf happened to software development? Nothing makes sense anymore.
