As a person who has serious trouble focusing without music turned up to 11, blasting into my brain, one of the hardest parts of solo game dev is working on Sound Effects. I turn the music off and suddenly I'm outside the house following a random dog.
I think aligning production schedules with events like expos, floor shows and SteamNext fests so you get the most out of joining them is a skill. A skill I am terrible at. 😭
'Games development' and 'games business' are two seperate things. The sickness lies in the business side. And it is catastrophically sick. In all meanings of the word.

This has always been the case. “Go Woke, Get Broke” has always been clownish untruth. No movie has ever failed because of Black folks, POC, LQBTQ+, or women. There are a myriad of other reasons why some movies fail to connect. But bigoted chuds don’t have that kind of power.
