The Grafana-Prometheus-Loki-Mimir-Alloy theme park is such a giant mess, it's unbelievable. Dozens of config files that each look different, and equally as many ways to set things up, none of which is straightforward and easy enough to allow retrieving basic metrics within 10 minutes of setup.

It is disappointing that one of the most popular projects in the decentralized space is inviting people to join a centralized chat platform. Be the change you want to see in the world. Users that are knowledgeable enough to set up LoRa mesh networks are likely able to get into XMPP or IRC.

We’ve been getting asked a lot lately about contributing, so we wanted to break it down for everyone. 💬 Getting started is easy, especially when you start with hello! Follow this easy 3-step recipe! 📡 #Meshtastic #OpenSource #Developers #LoRa #TechCommunity

Here is the alt text converted into a single, clean paragraph: Infographic titled "Meshtastic: New here? Start with hello. No secret handshake - just a simple three-step recipe." A green robot graphic points to three numbered steps. Step 1: Use it: Get hands-on with the hardware, firmware, and client apps so you understand the practical, real-world flow. Step 2: Talk to us on Discord: Hop into the #firmware, #android, #apple, #web, or #python channels before a giant PR. Communication matters as much as code. Step 3: Take small bites: Help with existing issues, add reviews to open PRs, or test features to get familiar with the codebase. Text at the bottom reads: "Honestly? Just pop into Discord and say hello. We're always excited to welcome new faces" with the link meshtastic.org/docs/developers/
