Finally got to read @jeremiahhayden.bsky.social’s story on the PMC meeting and he nailed it. I was the one chanting “PCEF is for people not billionaires” and now I’m glad I got thrown out of the meeting before facing the gauntlet of those canapés

Don’t let anybody tell you PCEF is a waste of money. It has literally lowered the likelihood that people in 25,000 households citywide will die in the next heat wave. This is a model for cities worldwide to follow.

This is the best image I've seen from our PMC disruption yesterday (thanks @opb.org!). I'm sure there are others, I was able to protest for awhile directly in front of the media section. As a fan with a Fire season ticket, I'd love to talk to media about why I did this!

About 100 people gathered yesterday at Home Depot in PDX, and our fire truck was there with some new artwork. Join us the next couple of Saturdays, maybe more.  Home Depot not only allows ICE in, they are apparently coordinating with ICE as well.
