she/they. anarchy and rage. we light the fires that will guide the way.

This is the tragic yet logical result of a decades-long project—undertaken by rightwing politicians and “business-minded” administrators alike—to distort the meaning of higher education, to deny the intrinsic value of the pursuit of knowledge, to deprive us all of richer, more purposeful lives.

President Trump is banning students majoring in degrees that don’t make enough money from taking out college loans. Degrees for social work, art, religious studies, teaching aides, and music will be hit the hardest. trib.al/aaAEu6v

The diarrhea lettuce company, Taylor Farms, uses slave labor contracted from the Arizona Dept. of Corrections. The backbreaking labor is often performed by imprisoned Mexican nationals who would be otherwise ineligble to work in the US. They are paid $1.50 an hour.

The Diarrhea Lettuce Company Has Been Linked to Forced Labor

The lettuce-producing Taylor Farms was linked to the widespread use of prison labor before its involvement in a cyclospora outbreak.

headlines like this are so fucking funny like, yes. yes this is exactly what your tax dollars are supposed to go toward, helping your fellow people. i would much rather my taxes pay for food for someone i'll never meet than I would have them pay for bombing someone else I could've met some day.

He's losing words. Anyone with a parent or loved one suffering from dementia will recognize this pattern. Wen he says "moving cameras," it's because he can't recall the word "videos" and so he's stating the component parts as best he can. E.g., a "camera" is involved and the images are "moving"

Trump: "We have photographs or tapes -- like moving cameras, right? -- where people are on the side cutting it with a box knife."

you ever have that feeling like there's something your soul desperately needs and it's killing you to live without but you don't really know how to express it so you suppress it instead which just turns your entire existence into some sort of mushy pseudo-reality? ...just me?

Anime and manga would basically not exist if this kind of policy had been standard. I tried to make a list of notable titles but basically everything was made by someone who drew nsfw on the side, wrote nsfw on the side, published nsfw on the side, or was mentored by someone who did.

The TOS being so strict that they control you offsite is the problem; sites like Patreon and Kofi have offsite clauses too. The social criminalization of the suggestion that somewhere you might be doing nsfw is a problem. It's branding a person as obscene and we need consumers to stand up for us

This is *EXACTLY* why what Ken said was dangerous. If he was some smol beans account it would still have been fucking disgusting but faded into obscurity But Ken’s a celebrity. And he provided ammunition for monsters and essentially doxxed a trans woman making her a subject of international news
