Very happy to share a new paper, out in Learning and Individual Differences! We examined how chemistry students’ weekly time use predicted motivation across the semester. Huge shoutout to my amazing collaborators. @yekim.bsky.social lnkd.in/emix64dV

How do students regulate their motivation across time? 🤔 We followed students week by week to examine planned motivational regulation strategies and which ones matter for achievement. We also show how these strategies are interconnected, with some acting as catalysts for others over time.

🤓Do students take context into account when planning how to study? We examine how students plan their use of cognitive vs. motivational learning strategies, and whether they take learning context into account. They do, but mainly for cognitive strategies.

New publication! 🤓 This experience sampling study examines how motivational regulation and cost predict students’ momentary motivational conflicts and emotions.

Excited to kick off my new chapter at Sungkyunkwan University this fall! It’s bittersweet to leave behind such wonderful colleagues and friends at FSU, but I’m excited for the new adventure! 🤓
