I appreciate this perspective because we don't need to act like this is a new or futuristic problem with no precedent in human history. It's the familiar problem of people with a lot of power not giving enough of a shit to think about what they're doing

Holy shit. Marcy Kaptur becomes the latest Dem to release an anti-trans ad, and its worse than all the rest combined. "I voted WITH Republicans to keep transgender ideology out of schools, and let me be clear, boys should NOT play in girls sports." This is getting out of control.

If the Dem consultant class were just "following the polls" they'd be encouraging candidates to go hard against "ai," stop arming the Israeli regime and embrace impeachment. They are doing the opposite, and their targeting of trans people is, likewise, about their own twisted ideology and cruelty.

This is why I hate "just a tool" so so so much. You can make a calculator without access to every calculation. You can make photoshop without access to all photos. Someone show me a genai tool that didn't require all of our labour in its production. It's plagiarism software.
