Almost named a two coffee bean blend "The Double Slit Experiment" but realized it sounded kind of dirty.
Me telling you in 45 seconds what coffees I’ve got for you this week from @yesplz.coffee ☕️
I totally get people who are _super_ into coffee and I like my coffee a certain way etc etc, but telling me that my coffee at home should be _TRANSCENDENTLY_ good puts _way_ too much pressure on _me_. I can't be responsible for that.
Buying beans at the grocery store is always a mistake. Get your fix via USPS instead.

New washed Ethiopia Limu dropping this week and currently up in the webshop. ✨☕️✨
I talk to a camera to tell you what beans are roasting this week (and what I'll be drinking a lot of in the coming days)
Super quick run down of what we’re roasting this week:
I went out of town for 3 weeks and forgot to bring @yesplz.coffee beans with me. Never again.
that feeling of sleeping in, being so groggy you can hardly see straight, and then sipping an exquisitely delicious coffee (in this case, the Silvia Herrera Mexico microlot from last week)... nothing better.
I promise my beans are better than my social media skills.
A short sales pitch for some exceptional coffees. 💛☕️
I should be doing a lot more to promote my beans this week… might make a dumb video tomorrow if I find time. Our 400th interaction of our ever-evolving blend. 👍✨🔥 And a washed Pink Bourbon I bought at auction while in Colombia that is insaaaaane. Link in bio or whatever.
a heterodox coffee opinion thread that might spark too much heated discourse if I shared it on IG but I can say here because I have few followers and there's few coffee folks on here... Panama coffees are overrated. 1/x
Very confused by the preponderance of new roasters calling what’s clearly a medium or light roast “hyperlight”. #coffeesky
I miss the days when I had a subscription base large enough that I'd get 2 or 3 emails for every typo in my collaterals/zines. At least folks can tell when they read my stuff that it's not ai generated.
I've started making 12g:204ml pourovers my new single-cup standard at home (Kalita Wave 155 dripper, Fellow Stagg gooseneck kettle). I find I have so many coffees and sample roasts to taste through that smaller cups more frequently fits better right now -- also the days are long, so...
*swirling the coffee in the mug then slowly inhaling its aroma before sipping* mmm, ah yes, very beany
I’ve really got to come up with something more clever and more effective than panhandling for customers with these weaksauce weekly videos… But here’s the latest:
1. Start growing coffee in greenhouses for some reason 2. Put the guy from our petroleum-based detergent business in charge 3. ???? 4. PROFIT!!!
Kenji Tsujino was transferred from an unrelated division to oversee the coffee farming experiment. "Agriculture is tough. We have faced a series of unexpected events", he said. Makes sense. Coffee farming is hard! And all this while the coffee commodity price continues to fall.
Harold Smith would've had a coffee subscription.
Twin Peaks: Harold Smith, hiding indoors.
The discourse here is a bummer rn. I think we instead need some discourse about how smart it is to have a @yesplz.coffee coffee bean subscription. ☕ ➡️ 📬 🔥 www.yesplz.coffee
