The first phone number that came into my head for the demonstration was 6060-842 from that B-52's song, but in the end I opted to just type out S-U-P-E-R-T-O-N-I-C instead. But at least now we can both have 6060-842 stuck in our heads for the next little while

I recorded the national alert, but I assume it would be illegal to actually put the recording into any projects (it's illegal to use cyclone warning alarms and similar stuff in broadcast media, so maybe this too?) But what if I turned it into a horrible synth lead anyway?

Getting a game audio studio to do sonic branding for events feels like an obvious fit to me — it's kinda like scoring a short game, in a weird way. I'd love to do it more in depth and on a bigger scale

For this year's #QGF we put together a small suite of sounds to punctuate the live event, and original music to play at key moments

Heya @kilohearts.com I often reach for Phase Plant to generate noise beds for wind, fire, etc, only to remember each time that the noise generator repeats the same 5 seconds of noise, even on the "random" setting. It's subtle, but I can hear it. Is this intentional? I'd love a longer random gen <3

It's entirely synthesised at runtime using wavetables in Unreal MetaSounds. A very quick explanation thread 👇 #gameaudio #unreal #metasounds #synthesis #sounddesign #isopod
