The future of Europe, and western democracy as whole, will be decided in Ukraine. ReArm Europe! Due to busy day time job, I mostly re-post stuff I find important.

Contextual point given the Saxony-Anhalt result: the AfD has no plausible route to federal power. In France, unless Le Pen radically alters her economic platform (unlikely) she will struggle to get to 50%+1 on 2 May The EU tends to be more resilient than consensus suggests

While the Kremlin continues to deny overwhelming evidence of Russian sabotage in Germany and pretends to be outraged by the accusation, its Security Council deputy chairman is very openly calling for more of it.

A few years ago, Schwesig was under acute pressure for her role - together with Putin buddy & ex-Stasi officer Matthias Warnig - in setting up a climate foundation whose goal was to circumvent US sanctions on NordStream 2. Now she is seen as a savior of the SPD. A sign of how low the party has sunk

All eyes now on Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania (Germany's Baltic Sea coast and its hinterland), where a popular SPD incumbent, Manuela Schwesig, is running as a bulwark against the AfD in the state election on September 20. "Die Frau gegen blau" = "The woman against blue [AfD]"

In essense, all these parties are almost the same: - ties with russia - anti-EU agenda - anti-Ukraine agenda - spreading hatred, xenophobia & isolationism All this only benefits russia & its aggression against Europe [and do not forget that russia wages a partially hybrid war on Europe right now].

The cognitive dissonance is too big for most of their voters to understand this, but whenever a party that appeases Russia and wants to end support to Ukraine wins elections in Europe, Russia becomes more likely to launch an invasion into the EU

Heute Nacht knallt es in der Ukraine richtig. Russen haben sogar die seltene TU-160 raus geholt (zusätzlich zu allem üblichen). Die großen Angriffe werden gegen 3 Uhr morgends Ortszeit erwartet

📡 Our new cooperation on satellite connectivity takes off today. With immediate results. North Greenland will see massive improvements in internet access in the coming days. And by October, remote communities in East Greenland will also have better, faster internet!

Ukraine says air defenses downed or suppressed 71 of 92 Russian drones launched overnight, including Shahed, Gerbera, Parodiya decoys and S8000 Banderol systems. Hits were recorded at 12 locations, with debris falling at one. As of 09:00, Russian drones remained in Ukrainian airspace. #Ukraine

Zelensky confirmed Ukrainian long-range strikes on oil refineries in Russia's Ryazan, Perm and Tatarstan, describing them as a response to Russian strikes on Ukraine. Ukrainian forces also hit a storage and launch site for attack drones in the Kursk region and another target in the Black Sea.

⛽️ Welcome to the Russian Hunger Games. Today’s prize: a full tank. 📍Yekaterinburg, Russia. A woman showed up with a gun to “manage” the queue and make sure nobody cut in line.
