Not sure I want them doubling down on narrative when the last few times they did, we got MH Wilds and SF6's story, Alex, etc. I haven't played Pragmata yet, but I've heard its great. But it feels more like the exception than the rule. Capcom's gameplay is incredible; their stories, not so much.

Now that Capcom games have been amazing for a while... is it time for them to start improving on narrative as well? www.resetera.com/threads/15...

I think one of the biggest issues plaguing young creative these days is sincerity, or rather lack thereof. Oftentimes I see artists, creators, whatever, mask their feelings and emotions underneath layers of irony in an effort to shield themselves from being perceived, and it makes me sad.

I learned recently that people mad at the label "gun and ball gamer" have taken up trying to make "potion and sword gamer" a thing and I'm sorry but that's awesome my potions and my swords

It will not matter what the FGC ultimately makes of Tokon. This game is stylish and easy to pick up and feel like you're doing massive damage from jump. There's a skill ceiling the hardcore will shatter before this even launches, but the casual player appeal is visible from space.

Granblue Versus 1.0 had a lot of heat and excitement leading up to launch It was released with delay netcode...on March 2020 It had maybe a (one) local tourney and fell off immediately When Evo was in person again it got the main stage treatment it deserved and a reboot announcement with rollback

"Without Rollback netcode, I believe the game would not have lasted as long" - Ken Miyauchi on 5 years of Guilty Gear Strive, Anime Expo, & much more: https://www.respec.net/interview/107-without-rollback-netcode-i-believe-game-would-not-have-lasted-as-long-ken-miyauchi-on-5-years-guilty-gear-strive

I think “Just play more” isn’t perfect advice when it comes to getting better at the technical aspects of fighting games or shmups But it is good advice when it comes to the mental aspect. Constant exposure lowers nerves, increases your comfort level & reduces mistakes

Despite being part of the "I started a YouTube channel before @jasonschreier.bsky.social" club, I still want more people in the games industry should start their own channels. There's a huge gap for experienced folks sharing their knowledge and helping balance the sea of uninformed fan commentary.

If you play a multiplayer game with low player count and long queue times. Queue up anyway and just do something productive while you wait. You are doing a service to yourself and the community.
