@jamestalarico.bsky.social is the real thing - we had a great conversation last week about public schools, educators, students, the role of religion and labor and hope. And for the Texans we had a good cry about one of my role models, Linda Bridges who led Texas AFT & our Corpus Christi local

@jamestalarico.bsky.social was a true partner in the fight against privatization of our public schools. We beat back vouchers 5 times before our legislators caved to the Abbott corruption tax paid by a Pennsylvania billionaire.

Texas AFT, backed by AFT, filed a federal suit because educators constitutional right to free speech shouldn’t be weaponized against the people who educate our kids. I want to bring focus to our members... who I could not be prouder of. — our members are taking a stand against censorship.
