you will save yourself a lot of trouble and grief on any text based social media site by simply remembering that a lot of people can't read.

I feel like people have forgotten that ad blockers weren't popular because people just wanted to get something for free, it's because we can't trust ads not to fuck up our computers. If we still just had quiet simple banner ads or sideboard ads, ad blockers wouldn't have gotten as much traction.
