A 17-month-old girl was hospitalized with E. coli after consuming raw milk. Soon, another child — a 6-year-old girl who’d drunk milk from the same farm — would wind up in the same San Diego hospital, with the same potentially fatal illness.

My dad worked on a dairy farm when I was a kid, and I'd go help milk the cows on a regular basis. There is no way you're going to get all of the cow shit off of the udders, which then goes into the milk. In 1942 without social media what are the odds you even heard about it?
