The view from nowhere strikes again. Wolf Blitzer passively describes Trump’s myriad crimes in and out of office as he shrugs and smiles right next to him. Then he awards journalists who Trump would see harmed for reporting on those crimes. Everyone claps. No one addresses the elephant.

It’s just good to see Congress do something for once
So very many people think that having an idea is synonymous with having a social impact. Everyone has ideas. Ideas are cheap. The value comes from labor.
“Ok but if I cured cancer or had some world changing idea don’t I deserve to be rich” Your “personal” ideas result from the world you live in, collective labor and accumulated social knowledge. Any idea you have can only be implemented through the labor and ideas of others.
Pelley and 60 minutes really were the gold standard for Serious Journalism and that they already felt the need to “balance” a story about the murder of innocent civilians by federal goons by implying they deserved it is an indictment of the entire industry
The directive from Bari Weiss to make the protesters killed by ICE look “more violent” came after Scott Pelley voluntarily had already gone to great pains to make them look violent in the first place:
Boy I tell ya, if the Dystopian War Crime Machine does one more dystopian war crime - just one more! - and I don’t even know what I’ll do.
SCOOP: Palantir's 22-point manifesto is alarming even its own employees—but it's just the latest move by leadership that's incensed workers. More on the internal dissent growing inside the company: wired.com/story/palantir-employees-are-starting-to-wonder-if-theyre-the-bad-guys/
When you’ve been practicing for ten years on NextDoor for this very moment to arrive you better not whiff.

Trump bout to release Covid-20 so we stop talking about Iran (which he started so we’d stop talking about Epstein)
Incredibly on brand of economists to see that people’s experiences are at odds with their heavily curated set of metrics and assume it’s the people who are wrong.
Truly wild research on the change in bike mode share in NYC, London, Paris and Berlin. Between 2000 and 2023, Paris went from 1 out of every 100 trips being on a bike to *one out of 9!* Many people, including credible researchers, would have told you that that *could not* happen.
The despair (hopefully) isn’t because people wanted bombs to drop, but because people know now there will be no consequences. The US will move on as if nothing happened. It’s reinforcing how helpless we all are.
NYT headline in a year: “after booming start, Mamdani has fixed fewer potholes this month. Why doesn’t he care about the roads anymore?”
KBJ doing her best to argue with Alito via Wang but not sure Wang needs the help. I choose to hear it as a “yes, and” of Wang
“Most of the post-Wong Kim Ark judgments either don’t mention Wong Kim Ark in their reasoning or have very little reasoning at all” (paraphrase) brutal takedown of the government’s citations by Cecillia Wang
But Mikki what if...baby I promise you, I don't care how you justified signing your child up for abuse and brainwashing. You deserve hell. Period.
If you put me on a jury for a kid that kills their parents for sending them to conversion therapy I'm voting to acquit. That jury will be hung.
NPR links to article I section 4 of the constitution in this article but is unwilling to outright say in the headline that it is an unconstitutional EO, defaulting instead to “experts say he lacks the authority.” Shameful. www.npr.org/2026/03/31/n...
Framing this problem as a budget problem serves to bury the real discussion of why the debt is so high in the first place: tax cuts and wars.
This seems like propaganda designed to get austerity measures passed. First clue
You gotta hand it to him, Trump is extraordinary. No one thought you could make airport security worse but by god Trump found a way.
