people getting upset about this is so crazy. bsky needs to become more than just a liberal politics app. doesn’t mean it needs more nazis & right wingers, just means it needs less politically focused users. it’s not good to be in your own little bubble, can’t have change with nobody to influence.

Bluesky's new CEO Toni Schneider on the platform's reputation for being a liberal bubble: "Yes, we definitely want that to change. It is already changing. It certainly wasn’t designed to attract one specific group of people."

Pro Life Tip - For years, every time I get an email that makes me feel good, I attach a label (NICE) to it and file it away. Whenever I feel down or lonely, I can go to that mailbox and read a few letters from kind Internet strangers, friends and family and it invariable cheers me up.

Useful #n8n idea I had the other day: Workflows that store data to a data table *also* include an incoming webhook that returns all the data. Everything in the same place = less of me searching for things.

A n8n workflow. In the upper row, there's the main "track", a schedule trigger that does an HTTP request and that inserts a row into a local n8n data table.

The lower row is a Webhook module getting the data from the table, and returning it as JSON data.

i have an old galaxy watch, perfectly functional, that became obsolete when i switched from android to iphone. this weekend i/sol build a custom fitness tracker app for it that sends the data directly to my mac. so now i can use the watch again, without sending my data to samsung as a nice bonus

A weird downstream effect of LLMs I predict will start having an impact soon is that they are very helpful for fixing a lot of stuff that would not have been worth fixing when information about how to fix them was harder to get.

V2026.2 of BarCuts, my surprisingly useful #macOS #Shortcuts launcher, is out now! The big headliner feature: In addition to English, BC now speaks German, French, Italian, Polish, and Spanish, too! actions.work/barcuts?ref=... This update is for all customers, old and new, including those … 1/2

BarCuts: A Surprisingly Useful macOS Shortcuts Launcher

BarCuts is a menu bar app that surfaces your relevant Shortcuts workflows when you need them. "Tag" workflows to an application, and when that app is in front, BarCuts will show its tagged workflows i...

hard pill to swallow for atproto developers/creators: 99% of potential users either do not care about, value, understand, or want to “own their own data” i see so many apps/projects lead with this “value prop”, but it’s not an important or meaningful consideration for most people

The #Gemini models causing issues in #pi is geting annoying. I don't blame Pi; it's Google and their usual "standards good but we know better" approach to APIs. I've seen lots of "Invalid Thought Signature" errors, plus empty responses, it's a mess. If anyone has any hints for me, I'd appreciate it

If you use my github.com/czottmann/pi... + the excellent #PiPlugin @vanillagreen/pi-questions, good news! When automode's classifier denies an action, and pi-questions v1.5.0 asks for permission, its answer can be sent as user input so automode sees it. Win! npmx.dev/package/@van... #piPackage #pi

My computer just woke me up to tell me it's hungry. I'm not kidding 😂 During a long-running task, it noticed the battery was draining, set the volume to 100% using Computer Use, then opened Google Translate and hit "Listen" so I could hear it asking. Pardon my French, but what the fuck? 🤯

so if you bought a umans subscription on my recommendation for glm 5.2 access: they're cancelling the entire program tomorrow. the only notice was in their discord. no email to subscribers. nothing on their website. very professional. much trust. (they are promising to refund all subs at least)
