ORC BUTLER: there is a time for poison, but it would earn you no praise to kill him in secret, sir ELF BUTLER: on the contrary, sir, be like the earth herself, and sour from within the man who dared cross you ME: I will stab him with my envenomed spear ROTLIMB ORC & ELF BUTLER: excellent choice, sir

this one is surprisingly long so i've preserved the choice bits from the beginning. it goes on to the bitcoin scam you'd expect, but it also assures the reader that if they are unfamiliar with crypto it is easy to figure out with "your modern web search" and that they (the scammer) will be duly paid

A red flame in Barad-dûr, based on the conversation in the most recent shelved by genre episode. I wanted the city to look both industrial and unsettling, so I tried to use a real mix of building styles, and avoid too many curves/natural shapes.

A scan of a pen and ink drawing of Barad-dûr, inspired by the conversation in the most recent shelved by genre episode. It shows the moment when Frodo, on Mount Doom, looks towards Barad-dûr and as the clouds part sees a red flame in the highest tower, the only image of Sauron the books give us. The drawing depicts barad-dûr in dense, hatched pen, full of narrow, crowded streets and industrial buildings, shrouded in darkness and cloud. A red pen has been used to mark the flame, the only colour in the drawing.

shaming someone for only reading the headline when SUDDENLY my latent Numenorian telepathy activates and I fully understand they actually did read the full article but simply didn't comprehend anything the headline didn't prime them for so I just make fun of them for being shorter than me instead

my jaw was on the floor. my ass was on the edge of my seat. my legs were akimbo. my nose was in a book. one foot was in the door and the other was in my mouth. my left hand was washing the right. my right hand didn't know what the other was doing. my ears were to the ground. and my eyes were up here
