Multi-crafter, game dev, and weirdo about town. Hell if you’re g-ville or a Rocker. Solo developer for Kingdom Flipper, a building and renovation game about castles, and Goblin Gourmet, a cozy game about foraging in a swamp.

Amazing news, thanks to decades of unrelenting advocacy by the Yurok, Karuk and Klamath Tribes. It’s heartening to see the collaborative nature of the salmon restoration effort reflected in this paper’s authorship, which includes all three Tribes, state & federal agencies, NGOs & private entities.

Chinook salmon have recolonised 88% of their historic range on the Klamath River, with more than 13,000 fish passing the old Iron Gate Dam site in 2025, up from 7,700 the year before. Two years after the dams’ removal, it’s going better than anyone predicted. buff.ly/pToC9gB #ShareGoodNewsToo

We want: - Small phones with headphone jacks and good cases. - Small cars without tons of screens and with manual knobs. -Small games without AI.

Dolly’s mom, “That woman is so trashy.” Dolly, “I want to be trashy when I grow up!” Thank you for all your kindness and grace, but also for helping me redeem trashy and accept rhinestones into my life. This is an outfit I made which is very Elvira X Dolly that I made to go see SuperM.

every billionaire & tech mogul, they all want to be adored & celebrated without doing the things Dolly did with a fraction of the power & money. What she had, she gave away. I'm sure she was comfortable (& that's good!). But she just relentlessly helped. It's not that difficult. Love. Care. Help. 💚🌸

The thing about wealth is that when sane people think about coming into a bunch of money they think about things to buy and people to help, and saving some for later. Those assholes* just think about how to use that money to make more money. *you know who I mean. Those assholes.

Too often “whimsy” actually means “frumpy” for clothing patterns. Like look, I am a recovering “renn-faire reject aesthetic” tailor, but a lot of the recent *.core stuff looks like a sack with lacing.

The main way in which AI has negatively impacted games industry jobs is not through actual automation of those jobs or even untrue claims about automation. It's by making capital unavailable because it's tied up in AI investments while also destroying the consumer base for video game hardware.

Techbros: put everything on the internet, it’ll be great! Populace: suss. Wait this works! Techbros: okay now we will ruin everything on the internet but now there’s no physical backup systems in place so you are stuck using the enshittification yay! Give us money.

I use generations of sewing needles. The oldest are the super fines from my great grandmother (1930’s), then the weird long upholstery needles from grandma (1960’s), daily use from mom (1970’s), and some that I bought (1980’s). Modern sewing needles suck so I take care of my old ones.

I always like thinking about: what is the oldest object you regularly use, the oldest thing you're using in your normal everyday life

Dear white men boomers sitting near me at the cafe…no. AI sucks. Your “oh well they have regulations now for power and water” are patently false, wouldn’t be followed, and don’t excuse you. What? Look, it’s angry posting day for me today lolllll 😆 And old white men are on my shitlist today.

I just can’t get over how stuck in the 80’s that orange buffoon and his cadre of idiots are. Taking over all the oil…such a short term idea. The one good thing is that it hastens renewables and EVs, which hopefully will loose the petro chokehold.

The thing about success (especially on social media) is that you need to be consistent. Post a lot (preferably with a theme), make art that has a ‘brand’, promote your game… Meanwhile I’m over here as my kid said, “Mom, you can’t even do something the same way ONCE!”

No, it’s not ‘normal’ for humans to be in competition all the time. It’s not normal to work for most of your waking hours of the day. It’s not normal to be stressed 24/7. Stop taking a few hundred years of capitalism and pretending that’s just how being human is. It’s not.
