A way to joy: 1. Join your local library (if you're not already a member) 2. Download Libby or Borrowbox 3. Find an audiobook and listen to it. For free. Brilliant. I really don't read enough, but for someone who spends far too much time vaguely wandering from room to room, this is perfect for me.

Quite aside from them being £2.49 for a packet, I'm fairly sure Lidl doesn't realise that when they cover bourbon creams in chocolate, they're effectively selling Penguins at a huge mark-up and without a joke..

Chocolate covered custard creams and bourbon creams

For the past couple of years I've been harvesting batteries from discarded vapes, and have accrued quite a collection. The worst bit is getting rid of the rest of the vape. I keep getting a waft of vape juice from somewhere in my study.. quite distracting! Better empty the bin (again?)

A quick and easy way to set up Sticky Keys on both Mac and Windows is to eat chocolate biscuits while working. I want to make a "Turn on Carrot Browsing" joke as well but it doesn't [a] work well written down and [b] actually be funny.

If there was an English equivalent of the Louvre art gallery, would it be called "The Air Vent"..?

Seems like almost all my Google Mail messages are going into spam at the moment, so I'm having to fish them out one by one... feels like I'm making lunch while standing in a wheelie bin.

Spinoff programme idea: Doctor Who Do You Think You Are, where a celebrity goes into the TARDIS to find out how appalling their ancestors were (Daleks?)

@feap.bsky.social I thoroughly enjoyed your piece about Ray Of Light on the Monocle daily .. I'm a huge fan of William Orbit so it was great to hear some other inspired songs 🎶🎵 To that end: please do create a Spotify playlist!

I am now at an age where I keep having to delete screenshots I inadvertently take because I'm clearly holding my phone wrong...

There remains something delightfully old fashioned about catching a train for leisure purposes. This is very much what I'm doing now.

Me with big hair at a station with a goods train in the background

In other news, Retford is one of the strangest stations I've ever been to. It's got a bonus level (with a daft little train)

I'm still a little baffled about scammers on Words With Friends... it's a game that celebrates language - when a message comes through from someone who clearly hasn't a clue about syntax nor punctuation, surely it's a red flag?
