Paranoid nutjob here, seeing clanker deployed as a term so often irks me because of the fact that it’s used pretty regularly as a play on actual racial slurs. Any time I see “clanker lover” or an adjacent, I feel like there’s a prank being played by some imageboard.

Waking up to news Dolly Parton’s passing has been surreal. It took me a good minute to realise that she had died and that it wasn’t her birthday. Every word written about her today has been praise or celebration, I think that I honestly forgot that a public figure could die and be cherished.
