Ohio Guidelines for parental conflict are written by the men’s rights organization AFCC — lead proponents of discredited “reunification therapy” where abused children are “alienated” and “reunified” with abusers absent all contact with the protective parents drcourt.org/wp/wp-conten...

Max Miller’s story is wild when a broken clavicle and handprint bruise are *still* not enough for CPS to make a positive finding of abuse Without that finding, Moreno taking a kid to the ER without him, is counted against *her* in family court

Universities cannot make money teaching home undergrads or doing funded research. Indeed, those run at a large loss. Only teaching international students make sense in any way. The logical endpoint is taking only international students, reducing research and moving many ops out of the UK altogether.

This is the highest-resolution view of the surface of the Sun. Ever. Taken by the NSF's Daniel K. Inouye Solar Telescope, features as small as 19 km across can be resolved. The wispy things are magnetic field boundaries formed by Kelvin-Helmholtz instabilities. The island of Ireland for scale.

A swirling, complex view of yellow–orange–brown wisp-like features. The dark shape in the middle is a superposed outline of the island of Ireland to show scale.

Retired GM engineer Tom Smith could not figure out an FEC website, but he did beat Trump's endorsed candidate, despite dropping out of his race. His charming handwritten FEC letter recently went viral. bit.ly/4fNVocc

LAPD internal affairs continues to investigate itself for misconduct toward press at protests. My update totals on allegations closed since last summer. Only 2 of 38 acknowledge anything wrong (but no discipline). Meanwhile a federal judge found so much evidence he slapped LAPD with an injunction.

Unfounded = 17
Exonerated = 10
Insufficient Evidence = 6
Non-Disciplinary = 2
Not Resolved = 2
Shaggy Defense = 1

watching the candidate forum for the US Senate seat currently held by Tina Smith and it's incredible how Royce White's response to every question is to spout insane conspiracy theories about transgender people and the uniparty. This guy was the GOP's nominee for a Senate seat two years ago!

holy shit -- Schiff ties Trump's judicial nominees in knots by asking them who won the 2016 before *before* asking them who won in 2020, which results in them sounding like election deniers about Trump's victories!

The fees set over a decade ago were a modest increase on the previous funding which had itself been largely stagnant for years. It was enough to start investing properly, then. A decade later, it's several thousand pounds per student per year below the inflated current costs.

El-Sayed: We live in an era where we continue to see a few very small people try to define America as being as small as they are. We can't control the past 250 years. What we can do is build the next 250

This is who the Repub led Senate wants to confirm as the US AG in the next couple days. It’s not about following laws—it’s about controlling women and girls with no regard to health outcomes. WE ARE NOT OUTRAGED ENOUGH! We need to flip 4 Senate seats. Please help get out the VOTE in NOV!

📢PROJECT UPDATE📢 You may have seen the news that the University of Exeter, home of the wills project, has placed 500 academics at risk of redundancy. The project leader Prof. Jane Whittle & project co-investigator Dr Laura Sangha are both at risk, alongside almost all of the History department. 1/
