I have been called the "fairy godmother of making" and "ultimate reference librarian for matters maker, scientific, and technical." (she/her)

I’m sitting here by the marsh. The tide is high and the egrets are standing around in the sun, preening. Earlier when it was low, the yellowlegs were running across the mud and eeping.

We’re getting a good thunderstorm which is going to make weeding so much easier tomorrow! Also it smells so nice out right now. In other garden news, my mullein are starting to bloom!

Two tall fuzzy leafed plants with a blossom stalk starting to open with yellow blooms.

When Luna wants to be brushed she chirps and leads me to her brushy spot. She loves it and sometimes even helps guide the brush where she wants it to go. I do a better job when I’m not holding a phone in the other hand though!

I remember going out on the front porch to watch Mt St Helens smoking in the spring leading up to the eruption. Then afterwards my baby brother couldn’t go outside because of the ash in the air. We all wore masks and the ash made a mess of everything.
