Unapologetically opinionated and a true smart ass. Sarcasm is my mother tongue. Former federal public servant who has had my fill of the Conservative agenda. Mental health advocate and fierce ally for all.

BREAKING: The New Mexico Department of Justice has sued Acting AG Todd Blanche and the DOJ, requesting the court for access to unredacted Epstein-related investigative files that the DOJ has been withholding.

Which is why I’m so grateful to be doing the work of rebuilding the NDP into a national fighting force for the working class, and to see so many people rushing through the wide-open doors of our movement.

It will either be harnessed by progressive politics, to balance the scales of society and make a fairer economy for all… Or it will fuel fascism. That’s the choice. And happily, it's up to us!

This groundswell of populist rage is legitimate, and it’s a completely predictable consequence of our economic system and how it has been managed for the last 50 years. The desire to push back against the smug arrogance and creepy impunity of elites is a defining force in politics today.

People are furious with ultra rich, powerful elites. The social contract has been broken. People who work for a wage or salary (not a dividend or bonus) just can’t make the household math make sense. And we’re looking up at the unlimited wealth of the 1% and we are pissed.

The $30 million AIPAC wasted in Michigan, wasted trying to help Haley Stevens, could have been used to fully fund and deliver 6 million malaria nets to sub-Saharan Africa. Or, it could have fully paid for universal free school breakfasts in Mississippi, America's poorest state.

Carney invited Kevin Roberts to speak to his cabinet and then called it off in September of last year. Carney is a Catholic. When will people get that he's working as much of Project 2025 here as he can because HE'S ALWAYS BEEN PART OF IT? Jesus H Christ are Canadians ever blind.

The Heritage Foundation is run by Opus Dei Catholics Kevin Roberts and Roger Severino. More than 50% of the 100 orgs behind Project 2025 were funded by Opus Dei affiliated Leonard Leo. Miss the faith driven politics and you miss the story. jesspiper.substack.com/p/give-them-...

Since industrial logging began more than a century ago, most of Vancouver Island’s productive old-growth forests — those capable of growing the large trees characteristic of the island’s rainforests — have been cut. About 20 per cent of those forests remain.

B.C. is logging its last old growth and protesters are trying to stop it

Vancouver Island’s old growth rainforests are among the rarest ecosystems on Earth and protesters are trying to stop the logging there.

A company that would experiment on its own users like this, and obfuscated what it was doing, is not one that will abide by any "duty to act responsibly." @ntusikov.bsky.social and I lay out exactly why not in this Policy Options piece. policyoptions.irpp.org/2026/07/bill...

Canada can’t regulate Big Tech by trusting Big Tech

Bill C-34 puts too much faith in Big Tech. Canada should regulate the algorithms, data practices and business models that drive online harm.
