Welcome! You are invited to join a webinar: 20mph for Safer Streets: Evidence, Delivery and Impact. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email about joining the webinar.
The 5th in our Delivering 20 webinar series. Attendees will hear how lowering the speed limit from 30mph to 20mph in built up areas would make a significant contribution towards delivering the 65% (70% for children 16 and under) casualty reduction targets outlined in the Government’s Road Safety Strategy.
Hear councillors and officers from Local Highway Authorities report on how they have already delivered 20mph limits and the significant casualty reductions they are seeing. Learn about barriers to implementing 20mph and how the Government’s RSS can deliver a country-wide blueprint to deal with these barriers and protect all road users.
The webinar will also include a preview of the upcoming Vision Zero Conference in Birmingham on 30 June and the latest news from Wales on the continuing casualty reductions following the national 20mph default in 2023.
