Pedestrianizing a main street spine in central Reykjavík was controversial with businesses when it was first done, so they made it a summer pilot. They kept it that way, a pilot, for over a decade, and then went ahead and made it year-round and permanent. No big deal. No controversy. People like it.

Could you do something about the long delays at crossings faced by people walking along the Home St / Tollcross / Earl Grey St / Lothian Rd corridor? Waiting at the King’ theatre junction on Sunday evening for minutes, along with ~40 others, many gave up & crossed on the red man. Only 3 or 4 cars

Why is there any need for even 2 taxis?

LSEG believe W Hotel is breaching promises to restrict vehicle access to St James Square, Edinburgh. Councillors agreed in January to permit a maximum of 2 private hires or taxis into the Square at any one time: but multiple vehicles are now routinely being permitted to access it (photo from 29/4)

Some (seemingly ineffective) “cycle hire only” markings have been added to the Greenhill Gardens dock. Progress… but surely appropriate for on road not pavement?! @spokes.org.uk @edi.bike FYI - @livingstreetsedi.bsky.social @edinreporter.bsky.social
