Turns out my insurance covered it and one other med that I wasn't sure they would cover. We'll see if they do anything for the allergies tonight. I generally hate nasal sprays because either they go out the bottom of my nose or down my throat. Neither are effective for me.

Got prescribed an SNRI (the generic for Prestiq) to help with the resurgence of depression, a prescription for flonase (mostly to see if I can get a discount, though we both doubted it) and turned in paperwork for FMLA. Not bad for a 30 minute dr. visit.

For the record, I went to this temple in 2001 on a lark. There was this older guy I often saw get off at the station nearest to Guangxiao every time he and I rode the same train. So, I decided to follow. He was going here to meet someone. Not whom you would expect. At least i didn’t. 1/

Things are hard out there. I'm making (at current pace) 70k a year. *Well* above median individual income level for my state. I'm making median *household* level income. By myself. And I'm struggling *hard* to make ends meet at the moment.

I know it's not the point, but you can "yes, and" this. "Okay, you do all the work, you've plugged the whole thing and flooded it. Congrats. You get no experience for it and no loot because it's all inaccessible."

This is interesting to me because I never noticed this was a thing. I always took notes alongside the meeting myself. Sometimes the other people took them, but I was also working with all women managers, so I never had a chance to really see that it's perceived as a "woman" thing.

I like this notetaking example. it is a good case of how gender works. Notetaking has never been about producing a transcript. It is a bureaucratic skill in the 20th c. organixarion because it is SENSEMAKING. Those women socialized to take notes? They have been doing men’s metacognition for them

I can verify that getting bit sucks for everyone involved. Two of my mom's dogs got into a spat over dominance, and my mom grabbed the hip of the smaller dog, but not tight enough. Tasha turned around, thinking the third dog was attacking her, too, and bit mom. Tasha was apologetic afterwards.

I can't stress enough what a crisis this is. Trump's own intelligence agencies concluded that Iran attacked Minnesota's critical infrastructure and Trump is saying that it's Minnesota's own fault and denying it was Iran. The federal government won't defend blue states in a literal war.
