It was the 2021 season. Pitt was on it's way to it's first of 5 straight final fours. I just paid 50 dollars to Pitt to name the libero position after my twitter handle. They swept UVA 3-0.

Would have been 2008 at Ole Miss. Can't remember exactly who we played, but it was very close quarters. I do remember Mary Wise complaining that the students were too close, so we had to move back a row to create space we didn't have. Living in Nebraska now, my wife is stunned by what Gillom was.

My first match was in 2012, when Nebraska swept Notre Dame at the Centurylink Center in Omaha for some reason

volleyball was my first beat at the UNC-Asheville student paper. fun group to cover, played in the Justice Center which felt like a cramped ski lodge (complimentary).

The University of Dayton decided to introduce a system for students where how many other sporting events you attended determined how good your basketball tickets were. Because of it, I was made aware that the Volleyball program at UD was the most successful varsity athletic program there.

My first volleyball game was at ULM in 1999 and they played in the Activity Center. I had made friends with a few players on the team. I watched at least 15-20 games a year during these years while at ULM. The 2002 squad felt like world beaters. - Commish

I know I went to some matches at my high school, but they were for the most part unmemorable. First in college was one where I was on a student radio call for Wisconsin-Northern Iowa in the NCAA tournament, also my first on-air game. Hopefully the audio is lost forever.

In HS I was in a quartet that sang that national anthem for a bunch of events. My HS won 2 straight state titles. The only 2 losses those years were the matches I sang at

Today was incredible, don't get me wrong. Seeing this many fans in a baseball stadium? I'll never forget it. But I think we need to listen to what Dani Busboom Kelly is saying here. Plenty of large venues with more temperature control than an outdoor venue.
