A pair of double-crested cormorants perch at a nature area in Longmont, Colorado.

In this vertical black-and-white photograph, two cormorants perch facing opposite directions along a tree limb extending over the pond from a submerged log. The cormorant on the far left faces left with its head lowered, while the cormorant on the right faces right with its head slightly raised.

More than halfway along the branch, discarded fishing netting and two large fishing lures are entangled around the limb, serving as a reminder of the hazards human debris poses to wildlife.

The background features a soft, grayish-white reflection of the overcast sky. Below, the tree limb and both cormorants are mirrored in the gently rippled water, adding depth and symmetry to the composition.

A striking black-and-white portrait of two double-crested cormorants sharing a perch in a wetland habitat so vital to their survival.

fishing distance: 10 miles tunes: Here Is Everything - The Big Moon 🎧 #OneWalkADay #MinimalMonday #Photography #ClassicMono #BlackAndWhitePhotography #StreetPhotography

A black and white, high contrast photograph depicting a wide expanse of calm water and a shore. In the distance on the right, a solitary figure stands at the edge of a dark, stone wall pier holding a fishing rod. The water reflects soft light, creating subtle rippled textures across its surface. A dark, pebbled shore curves along the lower right side of the frame. The foreground features a blurred, out of focus patterned grid structure at the bottom. The overall image has a serene, moody tone with a bright white border surrounding the photograph.

A high contrast black and white photograph depicting a small white ferry navigating a wide expanse of dark water. The vessel moves from right to left, leaving a pale white wake trailing behind it in the lower right portion of the frame. In the distance, silhouetted mountains stretch along the horizon beneath a vast, dramatic sky filled with heavy, layered overcast clouds. Diffused light breaks through a gap in the upper right clouds, casting a soft glow over the scene. The photograph is framed by a clean white border.

A few more. Sovereign now has a fairly large hole in it and they had started demolishing the lift tower just as I left.

The large muncher bowed over at rest, with the cathedral in the background viewed tge the huge hole in the side of Sovereign House. A view last seen in the late 60s.

St Augustine’s skyline gradually opening up.

Sovereign House minus most of the longest wing, viewed from under the flyover.

View from Magdalen Street of someone taking a photo of Sovereign House.

I haven’t really been sharing the Anglia Square demolition photos on here. But they’ve started on Sovereign House now, so here’s a few.

The bulk of a 7 and 8 storey building being eaten by a large machine.

View of the same but from St Augustine’s Street.

Looking out over a tree lined reservoir at Entwistle this afternoon.
There are tall green pine forests all across the other side of the water.

that moon again #Photography #ECK #ClassicMono #BlackAndWhitePhotography #Lumix

A square format, high contrast black and white photograph framed within a wide white border. The image captures a central, symmetrical composition featuring a wind turbine silhouetted against a smooth, open sky. Positioned directly above the vertical tip of the top turbine blade is a crisp, detailed half moon. The landscape in the lower third consists of dark, undulating hills rendered almost entirely as a black silhouette against the smooth grey tone of the sky.

A colour photo of Devon landscape with a large white oval portal in the centre of frame. The portal wad caused by one of the foam pads detaching from the camera and getting stuck to the film! I only discovered it once I opened the developing tank.
