Just listened to The Daily's Michigan episode from this morning, and even the Haley Stevens volunteer knocking doors with reporters said she disagreed with Stevens taking money from AIPAC and it didn't make her feel great.
l love when a white journalist reporting on “concerns of lack of diversity” in DSA fumbles the name of the Latina elected official he interviews for the article. My name is Moreno, not Morales.

It was so special to celebrate Ecuadorian Independence with my people and our @mayor.nyc.gov 🇪🇨 Queens is home to the largest Ecuadorian immigrant population in the U.S. As the first Ecuadorian woman to serve in the NY State Assembly, it’s an honor and responsibility to represent mi gente. ✊🏽
UPDATE: 143 New York elected officials, from Long Island to Rochester, are now calling on Schumer, Jeffries, and all congressional Democrats to abolish ICE. Thank you to my colleagues for signing this letter co-authored by @juliasalazar.bsky.social, @cmshahanahanif.bsky.social, and myself. 1/3
This morning, I stood with small businesses outside a vacant storefront in Chinatown, now advertised for an outrageous $16,000 a month. I am proud to co-sponsor the Small Business Rent Stabilization Act, which would create reasonable standards for commercial lease renewals.
In January 2020, Lori Zeno yelled at then-Assembly candidate Zohran Mamdani (protesting with me, Katelin, the late Carl Stubbs, and others) and called us liars. She’s since busted her public defenders’ union, admitted to stealing $400,000, and is now going to prison.

“There was $25,000 from the KIND Bar CEO...and at least four more businessmen with public pro-Israel donation records, according to this handy spreadsheet by researcher Aaron Narraph Fernando.” Thanks @hellgatenyc.com! hellgatenyc.com/pro-israel-s...

“This is the moment for New York elected officials to really take a stand and let our constituents know which side they are on,” Moreno told the [Queens Daily] Eagle on Tuesday. “There is no reforming this agency.” queenseagle.com/all/2026/7/2...
Queens pols call on Dem leadership to push to abolish ICE — Queens Daily Eagle
More than a dozen Queens lawmakers signed on to a letter with around 100 other elected officials calling on federal Democrats to push for the abolition of Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

BREAKING: Following the killings of two innocent immigrant fathers, I co-authored a letter with @juliasalazar.bsky.social and @cmshahanahanif.bsky.social and signed by 100+ NYS elected officials calling on Schumer, Jeffries, and all congressional Democrats to demand the abolition of ICE. 🧵 1/6

The NPC is taking a vote tomorrow determining your voice in our organization's role in the 2028 election. Just like 2020, you deserve the right to have a say in whether we endorse someone for President. Read this open letter to the NPC and sign on below! docs.google.com/document/d/1...

26 supporters of Not On Our Dime! won their primaries last month across the state, from Queens to Syracuse to Buffalo, ousting 6 pro-Israel Democrats from office who refused to support the bill. It is a political liability in New York State politics to continue to be pro-Israel.
New York “charities” are funding Israeli settler organizations that ethnically cleanse Palestinians from their homes. Our state is complicit. But the tide is turning. Last month, 26 supporters of the Not On Our Dime! Act won their primaries. We have an obligation to pass this bill next session.
I can't make it tonight, but I strongly encourage folks to attend tonight's Crown Heights fundraiser for David Morales, running for mayor of Providence against the incumbent, a literal AIPAC donor who recently vetoed rent stabilization. Let's elect a socialist instead!
I strongly support Schneps Media workers in their courageous efforts to unionize. I call on Schneps Media to voluntarily recognize @schneps-union.bsky.social, drop eligibility challenges, and come to the table to bargain in good faith.
Happy to welcome our neighbors (and their pets 🦜🦜) to help them beat the heat! Our Astoria office is open as a cooling center until 5pm today.
The establishment is trembling. They can no longer hide behind their mediocre centrism. Let them sweat. We will focus on what we do best: Delivering for working New Yorkers and actually fighting the far right. The water is warm, folks. Join @socialists.nyc! dsa.nyc/join
Zohran won Ozone Park 2-to-1 last year. NYC-DSA candidates continued that success on Tuesday. Claire won it 46-32, while David Orkin held incumbent Jenifer Rajkumar to a 45-55 win. Both Claire and David hit 50% in the most Bangladeshi precinct; David actually got more raw votes.
On 3/17, Kat Abughazaleh won Chicago 35-23 On 5/19, Chris Rabb won his Philadelphia-only district 45-29 On 6/2, Mai Vang won (the Dem vote in) Sacramento 59-33 And then on 6/23, the biggest city in America had elected three leftists, to the apparent shock of many
So the candidate who called to execute Biden won her race & will be a Queens Civil Court judge. Milner is a conspiracy theorist/anti-vaxxer who calls LGBT books “filthy pornographic smut.” Her name was 2nd on the ballot & she came in 1st place in every Black precinct in Queens.
We did it! @mayor.nyc.gov’s Rent Guidelines Board just voted to FREEZE THE RENT for two million New Yorkers in rent-stabilized apartments. This is a huge victory for tenants across our city, including in Astoria and Long Island City. Democratic socialists deliver for working people.
Just days after our candidates sweep their elections, we’re going to deliver a rent freeze for millions of New Yorkers! Nothing celebrates a win like another win. Join us tonight to freeze the rent for all rent-stabilized tenants for two years! dsa.nyc/freezetherent

Joined in the middle of tonight's @claireforny.bsky.social phonebank and helped finish calling through 2 lists! Lots of uncontacted voters who were strong Claire supporters and thanked me for reminding them about the election and voting info, and some undecideds still making a decision.
In my first 4 months in office, I introduced 10 pieces of legislation and passed 2 bills! As your Assemblymember, I'll continue fighting to tax the rich, end NY's complicity with Israeli war crimes, and make government work for working people.
It's already been an incredible summer in the city. This election, let’s give each other another reason to celebrate! Vote on June 23 to elect an incredible slate of democratic socialists. Find your poll site and see our candidates at dsa.nyc/vote 🌹 @socialists.nyc @queensdsa.bsky.social
