The NYT could have written a news story about this, with actual sources. Or at the very least they could have interviewed Ellison & asked him some tough questions. Instead they just handed over the most valuable media real estate in the world to a billionaire nepo baby to lobby for his company.

Im fascinated that Gardiner and West Yellowstone, MT, both seemed like relatively hardscrabble towns on the edge of the park, whereas Jackson, WY is clearly awash in flush cash.

This is a story about the President and several of his hand-picked appointees all committing crimes and blatantly lying to the public while stealing public funds and abusing the criminal justice system, but the NYTimes describes the situation like they're recapping a soap opera.

I guess no city was large enough before the wave of changes that made places want to split and not consolidate in the 20th century
