I do not think that Haley Stevens voters stayed home due to insider information shared by a random Twitter user actually.
Ben Shapiro probably does not know enough history to even know this, but the way he is talking about Muslims as a nation within the nation who can never be integrated is almost verbatim what European nationalists said about Jews in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
She had zero role on the Stevens campaign because even the Stevens campaign had standards.

Given my overall position, here, I would really hesitate before mass-bullying me anymore.
Particularly in a gendered way. That tends to piss me off. In another sense, it will be interesting if the bullying stops entirely. It's not organic & it's endorsed by the campaign.

If AES wins, and I lived in Michigan, I would vote for him. Or, rather, I would vote for the Senate majority. I would also not blame others if they chose differently. The DSA is forcing Democrats into directions we would rather not go....

Senator is actually one of the jobs where your views on foreign policy matter most and it's a genuinely incredible thing that the Democratic candidate for Michigan is someone who wants to end aid to Israel, Egypt and the UAE and not a mindless drone who wanted to give Netanyahu another $20B.
Need an Obama ad with AES (also just them campaigning together in Michigan for sure) where he talks about winning Michigan with a "name like that" Sorry, I found the Iowa Turek ad endearing when he pointed out he had experience winning Iowa. The right kind of reference is tasteful.
While he didn't win Black voters, El-Sayed lost Detroit (78% Black) 62-34, Southfield (71% Black) 66-31, and Royal Oak Township (89% Black) 67-29. That fits with the pattern of progressives making progress with, but still not getting a majority of, Black voters.
El-Sayed did well with Muslim voters (Dearborn), gay voters (Ferndale), and Hispanic voters (SW Detroit)
El-Sayed did strongest among the denser urbanized inner suburbs of Detroit, growing medium sized cities, college towns, and the crunchy rural/lib retiree towns on the lake. Where he struggled was rural whites, wealthier suburbs, sprawling exurbs, and Black voters. That's a familiar coalition.
Did I get the night I wanted? No I never want to spend hours waiting on Wayne County to count votes. Did I get the results I wanted? Absolutely, there was Abdul El-Sayed, Will Lawrence, Donovan McKinney federally, along with a ton of statehouse wins including Abbas Alawieh and Chris Gilmer-Hill.

Both Abdul and Chris Gilmer-Hill won HD-08 yesterday, with Abdul with a larger margin. Both of them lost the HD-08 part of Detroit but cleaned up in the White suburbs in Oakland County

Also this from the Stevens camp wasn't voter suppression or illegal electioneering EITHER. People are allowed to stay stuff that they think will persuade voters. The fact that this specific slogan completely face planted with a must win constituency is worth contemplating.
No you see Haley Stevens voters decided to stay home and not vote in any down ballot elections because a random nerd on Twitter spread gossip about internal campaign operations OBVIOUSLY.

Yeah it does look like Republicans cared more about picking their opponent for Senate than the governor primary.

I've definitely seen people complain that small dollar donations are outside interference and I bet Magdi thinks that as well. Again, NOT REMOTELY VOTER SUPPRESSION.

Bernie's voter outreach leaders in 16/20 were very bad, and made it harder for lower and mid level field staff to succeed, and his understanding of the political economy hasn't evolved much. Good news is the people inspired by Bernie have worked very hard to overcome issues and they're succeeding
