There's a peculiarly British problem that stops millions of people from adopting cheaper, greener energy solutions. That problem is leasehold. Excellent story by @oliviarudgard.bsky.social. 🎁🔗 www.bloomberg.com/news/feature...

We have to end his power in November. It is life or death.
No. The return on a battery alone is poor. PV beats it hands down. PV first, EV, Battery,HP on saving If carbon saving priority then EV HP remove most (All with caveats on local tariffs)
If you’re about to embark upon the renewables journey, I would recommend going with Batteries first, then Solar PV. Once you have the Batteries you can then “load shift” taking cheap rate power to use at peak rate times. The Solar PV to follow. ASHP or A/C after that. Just get off that gas grid!
We have to stop data centres from being built.
I got a decent sized battery (6.3kw) in Nov. for a 2kw balkonkraftwerk here in Germany- Dawn today we are at 55%, but thats with a house full of guests. The way we use electricity has changed and we are saving around €100 monthly, giving us around 5 years ROI. www.theguardian.com/environment/...
