3542 - I'm thankful for professional validation that, yeah, I am a pretty dang good editor (even if all I've ever done is technically freelance). #gratitude

I would really like it if every time a Republican says, "Look at all the bad things Biden did," reporters would respond with "But Biden isn't the president right now" every time.

Every blog I learned writing from is still out there, completely searchable. Many of them are still updating. MY blog is still updating. And that's just blogs. Reddits, Discords, authors on socials... We literally cannot and have never shut up about How To Write and Get Published.
Seeing complaints online that authors 'gatekeep' information…! Absolute nonsense. There is no industry or craft in the world which is so comprehensively written about, studied, and discussed as fiction writing, and every author I know welcomes new writers who are serious about giving it a go.
3540 - I'm thankful for the wide variety of helpful communities on the internet. #gratitude
This thread makes me suddenly very thankful that I raised all my kids on typing games. There are SO MANY good, free typing games online. There's absolutely no reason for schools not to include them in any computer curriculum.
I wonder if students today would be less likely to lean on AI for writing assignments if schools had made sure they could touch-type (at least 60wpm) before having them submit all their assignments online. 1/🧵
