I really love godot's UI and tooling, it sits perfectly between "total control" and "heavyweight off-the-shelf" and I admire that. UX and polish could stand to improve but that's true across the board. my biggest disappointment is how it feels utilizing said tooling: GDScript makes me sad.

It looks like a very important factor for godot success will be the ecosystem growth The asset store is a big step in that direction, but the engine itself will also need to become more extensible to give people freedom to shape it into whatever they want and help provide what's missing in core

i'm not proud of a single vibecoded thing i've made, nor have i felt any compulsion to really share any of those projects except a couple it's absolutely soul crushing for me to not know how the thing i made works at any level except at the surface level, i can't explain what's cool about it
