ABC TV just had a piece on AI + ARIA, claiming that AI music is so generic, that it's easy to determine if music is generated. But...there's a lot of generic human created music, and blind studies have shown that humans are awful at reliably picking between the two.

Was just on Channel 10 News Nationally talking about AI generated music. I realised afterwards that now I've been on every major network in Australia except 7West....time to write something on the intersection of AI & the West Australian GST carveup, that should do it.

Will be interested to see how the ban on "mostly" AI generated music will be handled long term - there's a lot of flexibility in the definition there.

Decoupling correctness from interest checks should have been done ages ago for theory venues. It makes no sense for a proof to be checked 9 times if a paper is rejected (say, because "not meeting the bar for top conference") and resubmitted twice (3 reviewers, 3 conferences).
