People start teaching board games with Catan and I think that's almost always a mistake. Catan is a vicious game that rewards evil, and mostly newbies are looking for something cozier and more active. They don't generally want to bide their time for ten rounds and then inflict massive suffering.

The diarrhea lettuce company, Taylor Farms, uses slave labor contracted from the Arizona Dept. of Corrections. The backbreaking labor is often performed by imprisoned Mexican nationals who would be otherwise ineligble to work in the US. They are paid $1.50 an hour.

I understand how marketing works, but it’s deeply ironic that The Tricky Business of Faerie Bargains is getting packaged as a cozy fantasy because “it has French Toast!” when a major theme of the book is how any truly delicious food in the faerie world relies on exploitation of human labor

keep thinking about the evil of this. It's not just destroying the physical books, bad as that is. They are trying to remove the underpinnings of knowledge, destroy all the accumulated wisdom - and silliness, and creativity, and whatever else humans have thought worthy of writing down.

This is morally monstrous behavior. These are ordinary, innocent people that Trump is condemning to suffering & death out of political vindictiveness. Every decent human being, regardless of political party, should condemn it. Where is the fucking *anger*? From the press? From civic leaders? Pols?

btw, even if trans people chose to be trans, we would still be due respect and dignity like anyone else. changing sex is just another way we can express and hold autonomy over our bodies as human beings.
