These bring-your-own-cable EV chargers seem like such an obvious solution, it's surprising we didn't start building out that way. For L2 charging, it's going to be much simpler, cheaper, and more reliable.

It’s a good example of the kind of soft sycophancy that brings on the ‘chosis for a lot of people. It doesn’t have to respond with overt flattery; the fact that it even entertains this bullshit and doesn’t go “too stupid: revise and resubmit” is its own kind of sycophancy, in some way deeper.

Of course, more transmission means more clean energy (incl OSW and geo!). But, just as importantly, more transmission means more grid resilience--IF the public sector can coordinate it.
there’s just no audience for this stuff if you want MAGA, you’ve got Fox or OANN or Newsmax or whatever other weirdo splinter network there’s a real audience for centrist-framed “straight news” - aka the previous version of CBS - but those are NYT readers, and you’ve gone too far right for them
