there’s just no audience for this stuff if you want MAGA, you’ve got Fox or OANN or Newsmax or whatever other weirdo splinter network there’s a real audience for centrist-framed “straight news” - aka the previous version of CBS - but those are NYT readers, and you’ve gone too far right for them

I'm surprised we're not seeing more substitution for aluminum than we are, though it is happening. It's much cheaper, lighter, only somewhat bulkier, and perfectly safe if installed correctly. If it's done unsafely–like with 1970s residential branch circuit wiring–it's pretty dangerous
