📈 Green hydrogen production capacity almost doubled in 2025 to around 4 GW of globally installed electrolysis capacity. That's impressive. However, it still falls far short of the exaggerated announcements from a few years ago. (1/n)

Our new study an EU #fossil #phase-out is out in @natcomms.nature.com. www.nature.com/articles/s41... Afaik, this is the first #IAM study investigating a complete fossil phase-out. How much do we need to reduce fossils for the EU 2050 goal? And would even a full fossil phase-out be possible?

Wasserstoff als Energieträger wird eine große Zukunft haben, aber nicht für motorisierten Individualverkehr. Das steht völlig außer Streit, alle Leute, die sich in dem Bereich auskennen, sagen das seit Jahren. Jetzt Autofirmen zu fördern, damit sie Wasserstoffautos bauen, ist verrückt.
