I'm really pleased with the allotment wildflower bed this year.
This little Comma butterfly seems to have claimed our back garden in the last day or two, so much so that I've seen it chasing off a bumblebee that happened to be just calling in! 🦋

Lucky for me this brown crab didn't want to taste test the camera, as it later proceeded to hammer the bait cage and send it to dry dock for repairs! As the water off Bridlington is now clearing, brown and swimmer crabs, lobsters and assorted flatfish can be brought to the camera for better viewing.
My first BRUV drop of the 2026 season on a sandy patch inside Bridlington Bay NTZ. Though visibility is still quite poor, the dabs were seen to be aggressively chasing the crabs away from any potential lunch. #marinelife
