What I recall was a brilliant TV series, I Claudius, is back on iPlayer ... I watched it as a teenager = I wonder how it's held up? Binge watch incoming! www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/epis...

Today, the EHRC Code takes effect, restricting which toilets trans people can use. As a proud ally, I backed EDM 240 calling it unworkable. This debate is still dominated by people who don’t understand the realities of trans people’s lives.
‘I’m not saying the Conservatives were perfect in government’ says Kemi Badenoch on R4’s Today. Understatement of the year…
I do wonder why she was murdered at the age of 36 and who was responsible for her murder. I just don’t think it was Elton John Check the Vatican archives They forgive the greatest sins
It's 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘀 𝗗𝗮𝘆. You won't hear it from the BBC in 🏴 Scotland, but pass rates are up at every level, the poverty related attainment gap is closing further, and a record number of university places for Scots students have been awarded - a proud day for Scotland’s education system.
Booker: "Ghislaine Maxwell is sitting in the lowest possible confinement after giving no information that helped us get one more investigation started and has been silent, and the man responsible for that we're about to make the attorney general of the US ... this is farcical."
I did not work countless hours in an ICU full of proned patients and go back to my hotel crying because we lost more patients in a day than a typical week to hear a moron with a worm in his brain say that the ICU's were empty. I AM SO FUCKING ANGRY.
I worked for New York’s largest medical center at the start of the pandemic. There were morgue trucks on the streets. They set up emergency medical tents in Central Park. Healthcare worker colleagues died. It is horrific that RFK Jr is on national TV lying that ICUs were empty.
Jesus Christ - the cosplaying... We all know why Sunak called a July election and it was everything to do with prisons about to break (shit pun not intended)
A reminder to all NHS staff: you are loved, wanted and appreciated by millions of Londoners, and we collectively condemn the vile racism you continue to experience.

Young Londoners need safe spaces to stay active, develop new skills and build lasting friendships. City Hall is investing £1.5 million to help keep young people safe this summer, with my London Violence Reduction Unit working alongside the Premier League and football charities.
Nigel Farage just took a question from a 'journalist' at his press conference, who turned out to be his former chief adviser Raheem Kassam, who asks him why the media are being so unfair to him
Any academic studies on how well primary school children of the 7 pence a head “free” breakfasts generation are thriving? Maybe Theresa May or author of the policy Nick Timothy MP can update us on the policy success & other manifesto glories What a joke this system of government / democracy is
Does anyone have a link to the history of “stamp duty”?
Do not give me commonwealth games (they haven’t), do not give me UK Brexit Games (they haven’t) Do not give me a fucking ridiculous government department headed by successive SoS DCMS that do absolutely fuck all. Close the department. Give money back to councils. What a parasite she is. Disgrace
@guitarmoog.bsky.social Interesting and maybe signs of hope for sufferers
The COVID brain fog explained. The COVID-19 virus binds to the ACE2 receptor to enter cells. Dopamine producing neurons are rich in the ACE2 receptor. The virus causes disruption in the dopamine network in the brain. 🧪 tech-paper.com/scientists-f...
Same shit with U.K. “elitist” jornalists High on their own sneering
So many sneering elitist journalists with snarky posts over the past months that the Reflecting Pool story was trivial. It was so trivial that the DC US Attny presented false evidence to a grand jury to indict an innocent man to please the President while they both lied about it.
Rather odd we don’t hear of rip roaring successful mayoralties of Ben Houchen and Andrea Jenkyns. Of course there was great nightmare of Brum that couldn’t move a bin lorry for years. Serious scams. Give the councils their money back and set fire to all quangos Cheerio x
Thames Water’s service has been shoddy, expensive and wasteful. They need to stop moaning and get a grip. Not a penny of taxpayers' money should be used to bail out their shareholders.

I want London to be the best city in the world to grow up in. My London Violence Reduction Unit (VRU) has teamed up with the Premier League and London's football club charities this summer. At Spurs Training Centre, I saw how we’re helping young Londoners build confidence, skills and friendships.
So glad Lisa Nandy was kept as SoS DCMS. Nothing going on in that sphere for years so great non reshuffle there. More great news if we ever get it
Pinned: London's place as a global tech capital. Delighted to join Pinterest staff for the opening of their new UK headquarters, which is a huge vote of confidence in our capital. Setting up shop on Oxford Street will mean they can play a part in revitalising the beating heart of our city.
London’s haters can’t stand our success. The picture they paint of a lawless dystopia is a gross distortion of reality. And now, neighbourhood crimes are down significantly too, with 35,000 fewer offences on our streets.

I’d love to have dinner with Simon. Schama. If anyone has researched land grabs, ethnic cleaning and genocide he has. We need experts to stand up. Not cower away.
