Keeper's morphs are authored as scene-graph or more specifically as a scene-tree, which is evaluated bottom-up. I wrote a “compiler” which turns the tree into a command list which can be executed on the GPU. The compiler does a fair amount of optimization (e.g. dead branch pruning) to minimize cost.

I genuinely believe that Keeper is one of the game's industry most excellent and exciting achievements of the decade. A seemingly un-pitchable game that stands strong on its core tenets of emotional connection and teaching the player to let go of preconceived game notions. I thoroughly enjoyed it

It is really really sinking in for me the degree to which LLMs are the ultimate expression of right wing anti-intellectualism. Its proponents are literally mocking the idea that anyone would ever want to learn anything, know anything, develop any actual skill, or have a thought of their own.

Re-thought our HUD after some feedback, deciding to center it instead of being spread out on the corners. At least the way I play, I look at the rear-view mirror a lot anyway and it's far less distance to travel for my eyes than the ultra-wide screen corners. #indiedev #gamedev
