My strategy of mostly ignoring anything Trump-related is paying off: in recent days I usually only find out he threathened something from reports he cancelled the threat, and find out he promised something from reports he broke his promise. Basically: reports the thing that happened, didn't happen.

Let me expand a little on a comparison between the UK and NL, regarding vocational & academic paths in the 0-18 age-group's learning pathways. The UK's offering is framed by "Key Stages" 1-4 in the National Curriculum. KS1 targets the 5-7 year-olds, KS2 the 5-11s, KS3 the 11-14s ad KS4 the 14-16.

Succesful models avoid early splitting while encouraging mobility & transferability at all stages so kids can discover their talents & try things out. NL has a system where from year 8 up to the first degree there are vocational & academic programmes that allow transfers in & out.
