The narrow, high-banked path that carves a channel through the boneyard of St. Urian’s at Wormford is notoriously ghost-soaked. The record temperatures, wildfires and drought we have seen in the UK & Europe is climate change in action. There is hope. It has been a record year for renewable energy generation, all new homes will have solar panels from next year. But we must accelerate the transition to clean & green energy.

This is misleading. If you say the Rhine’ s “water levels drop to lowest level since 1880,” that implies that the river was this dry in 1880. But 1880 is just when we started keeping records! So what you need to say is: the river is at its lowest level since records began.
While wildfires rage, oil bosses are laughing all the way to the bank thanks to Donald Trump’s idiotic Iran war. People across the country are facing sky high energy bills. If Burnham is struggling to find the money to help families with those bills, I’d start here.

Fun article but I’m going to say no. Maybe in a few niche cases, but overall I file this with waste oil from chippies powering our cars. EVs are where it’s at. Cutesy climate solutions tend not to scale.

Here is my latest estimate of where both years will end up compared to global temperatures since 1850.
