Donald Trump arrived in Ireland on Saturday for meetings with political leaders before travelling to the Irish Open and spending the weekend at his Doonbeg golf resort. One household near Shannon Airport prepared a less ceremonial item for the presidential itinerary. Huge painted letters covering the family’s property read “FXCK TRUMP,” creating a welcome intended to be seen from the air. A traditionalist might ask why they did not use the more distinctly Irish “FECK.” Evidently, this was not considered an occasion for restraint.
