Trying to relax playing Pokopia dlc and the emergency alert set off on my phone, scaring the crap out of me. I legit thought there was a wildfire in my area and that it was asking people to evacuate but turns out its just a nationwide message about wildfires... phew 🫠

UK goverment nationwide alert saying there is a high risk of wildfires nationally and detailing steps on what not to do that could start fires an putting homes and lives at risk.

Word of mouth is basically the only way small team projects can gain any traction. People hate ads with a passion, and ignore creators when they pitch their own work. But people will give something a chance when a person they know says they like something

At first I was like “hell yeah, now I don’t have to see so many reposts!!” But now that I’ve thought about it, this is gonna kill mutual aid reposts and Art reposts since there’s no algorithm to bring it to you naturally. I won’t be turning off reposts so that I can keep seeing these things

Partially I get why people would want this feature, but at the same time, yeah. It's a community where sharing other people's work helps out a lot, and sometimes reposting your old work helps bring traction or even new work to help people who might have missed it for say, timezones, see it.

Support artists by not using this feature. Artists rely on the reposts of others to spread their work and their own reposts to show off earlier work to audiences of different timezones.
